63 steps to the first floor of the apartment! That is not just an inconvenience for people with mobility issues. It was very challenging to get my family of five up these stairs with our checked luggage for an international trip. This was a major bummer. Otherwise the apartment was lovely.

Was a beautiful location and apartment. Loved the details inside. Loved the views from the windows and was a great place to have breakfast in the morning before we headed out on our adventures. Parking was a bit of a challenge - the Q Park was close enough, but the street parking was more difficult. I couldn’t get the RingGo app to work, so I had to use the machines - not all of them took Apple/Google pay and I didn’t have any pound coins. Not a negative on the unit - but just beware if you are trying to park nearby for check-in / check-out. Get a few coins! Marco and the team were incredibly responsive and helpful during check-in and check out. Would love to stay here again when we return to Edinburgh!

Great location and huge space for a family. We had a great time with our toddler and all the toys and books they had available. The location was perfect and walking distance to everything. The parking situation was fine and the recommended lot was about 20 minute walk which isn’t bad. The flat had views of the castle and near a park. My only concern was all the stairs with our toddler but we did just fine. Highly recommend staying here for a great family friendly spot!

Great location in a tourist-friendly area! The apartment was clean, quiet, and spacious enough for three adults and two kids. In early July, Edinburgh was cool and windy, so bring a light jacket. Everything was within walking distance, including Edinburgh Castle, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Even my 70-year-old grandmother was able to make the gradual uphill walk to the castle. We didn’t need the tram during our stay, but the apartment is conveniently located near a tram stop. We bought discounted tickets online and easily took the tram to Edinburgh Airport—just be sure to purchase an airport-zone ticket. Don’t miss New College, University of Edinburgh! The gate on The Mound Place is open on weekdays, so you can walk inside and take photos. Marco was a responsive host who met us at check-in and showed us around the apartment. One tip for families: the heated towel rack in the bathroom gets very hot, so keep an eye on young children or turn it off if needed.

Our stay was great. The location was central to all the places we wanted to visit and was easily accessible via the direct airport bus. The neighborhood was highly walkable, with great coffee shops, restaurants, and local landmarks just steps away. We came to Edinburgh for our son to get married. Our place was perfect! Easy access with fun pubs and grocery stores nearby! After 4 days of wedding festivities we left on a group golf trip. 4 couples met to load a van for troon but one of the suitcases rolled away from view and was left behind! Marco saw it and sent a picture to verify and we were able to come back and retrieve it! What a lifesaver! I would highly recommend this air b and b. Marco is the best host ever!

Our family of five needed a comfortable place to call home for our week in Edinburgh and this apartment was perfect. Certainly not the cheapest option, but we have no regrets paying a bit more for the convenience and comfort of this beautiful apartment. Clean, plenty of room to spread out, responsive host, all in a great location with a view of the castle and the Firth of Forth, walking distance to most of the sights we wanted to see. We even had fun with a board game we found on the shelf. The only thing I would note for others is that there are a few flights of stairs, so might not be the best pick for people with mobility issues. We did fine. Such a great week. Thanks Marco!

There was an issue with the lock which delayed our entrance but it was dealt with promptly. The apartment itself was fantastic. It was really tastefully decorated, very spacious, had very comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. The location was great too, just a few minutes minutes walk from the city centre. The only downside could be the stairs. The apartment was 3 or 4 flights up so could be difficult for the very young or those less able. Would highly recommend this apartment to other guests.

Perfect flat in a perfectly location Positive: This is a wonderful 3br/3bath apartment in a wonderful location - close tol restaurants, parks, Edinburgh Castle. The flat was well stocked with towels, bath supplies, hairdryers in every bedroom, and everything we needed in the kitchen. Negative: There truly wasn't anything we didn't like, but, as others have noted, there are a lot of steps from the street level up to the top floor flat. Keep that in mind for anyone with knee issues, and to keep your luggage lighter (there's an all-in-one washer/dryer combo that works well once you figure out how to use it correctly).

The flat is huge, spread over three floors. It is very tastefully furnished and ready to move into. Everything is there and very well maintained. Even if six people live there, no one has to make any compromises: all three bedrooms and all three bathrooms are large. The living room with fireplace is wonderful. Thanks to the key box, you can move in and out of the flat flexibly. The location is excellent, in the western part of New Town. There are numerous restaurants, bars, etc., and the train station is also within easy reach. Everything is within walking distance. It is very quiet at night. The price is reasonable for all this. Die Lage und die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist mega gut. In Laufnähe erreicht man alle bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten Edinburghs. Das ganze hat sein Preis. Rechnet man allerdings bei den 6 Schlafplätzen auf den Pro-Kopf-Preis um, dann ist es verhältnismäßig günstig mitten in einer Großstadt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es nur weiterempfehlen! :-)

Negative: It would have been nice to have a second set of keys because we weren't all on the same schedule and having one set requires people to put the keys back in the lock box so that the next person can get into the building when they return. Maybe there is an intercom but we couldn't find it. This was a minor inconvenience because the place is fantastic.

From booking to check-in, the stay itself, and check-out, everything was seamless. The house is beautiful, and the location couldn’t be better, within walking distance of all the main attractions and surrounded by great coffee shops and restaurants. This was a special trip to celebrate my mother’s and my boyfriend’s mother’s 60th birthdays, and they absolutely loved it. The home felt welcoming and comfortable for everyone. Marco and Victor were wonderful hosts: always responsive, and they provided clear, proactive information in advance, which made everything stress-free. Highly recommended! If I return to Edinburgh, I would definitely love to stay here again.

Excellent location, comfortably accommodated our family. Positive: Super convenient location to Edinburgh attractions. So nice to be able to walk everywhere and a moderate walk to the train station. It was very clean and the check-in process was very easy. Easy walk to grocery stores, especially M & S, our favorite! Negative: Only 1 dish towel provided. We did a lot of our own cooking, so this was a bit of an issue. Some bars in the area so it can be noisy very late on the weekends.

This was an excellent location, walkable to everything, yet at a quiet end of the street. Using the FREENOW app was the easiest way to order a taxi in minutes and could get you anywhere quickly if you didn’t want to walk. The living areas and bedrooms were large, comfortable and bright. There are two en-suite rooms, one with a walkin shower. I should note that it’s a walk up type home, about a dozen steps on the outside. And 2 flights to the entry. Another flight from the foyer to the main living area and 2 of the bedrooms. And yet another to the final en-suite. So pack accordingly.

Beautiful flat with restaurants and pubs just a few steps away (and great views of Edinburgh Castle just up the street). The unit is spread across three floors (foyer leads up to the main space, then a bedroom at the very top), so do be prepared to climb some stairs, but it’s worth it!

We loved the location! The space was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. There were a lot of stairs to negotiate at check in with large suitcases, but we managed just fine. The place is bigger than I thought, very spacious rooms. It’s really nice and would stay there again. Marco was very responsive during our stay. Just remember it is like 6-7 flights of stairs! But it was in a great area, very walkable and quiet, and amazing coffee across the street. Constructive feedback: the washer dryer combo doesn’t seem to dry. After hours of drying, we resorted to laying everything out.

Beautifully appointed and spacious apartment. This had all the necessities and more. We particularly appreciated the list of local recommendations and the travel books provided for ideas and descriptions of local attractions. The apartment is in a great location - felt very safe with lots of restaurants and stores nearby that were easy to walk to. Check-in was easy and check out requirements were minimum, which was appreciated. The only negative is the number of steps required to enter the apartment. I understood from the description there would be stairs, but it’s about 4 flights up to enter & then another set immediately to get to the living space. That said, the space overall is great and worked well for our multi-generational group of 6.

There are a decent amount of stairs that you have to climb to get to the apartment but that was not a surprise since it was clearly specified in the description of the place. Stayed here for the Six Nations with a group of six from Swansea—absolutely perfect! It is a lovely apartment. We stayed over the Hogmanay/New Year period and had lots of things booked for the family. Of course at that time of year it’s quite expensive because of all the events, so it was a particular disappointment that having paid to be close to all of it, the events were cancelled. This of course doesn’t reflect on the host, but it did somewhat put a dampener of the visit. I would recommend the apartment and found Marco to be a great host.

Best location in Edinburgh! Positive: The apartment has the BEST location in Edinburgh, 6 minutes walk to the Christmas market and playground. Basically, it's in the city centre. The most amazing thing is that it's so quiet, I couldn't believe. Rooms are so spacious. They have everything that you need and more. Beds are super comfortable, I've, actually, checked the mattress brand to buy one in my own house. The bathrooms are so big, we could've organised a party there. So tastefully decorated and clean, the owner did a wonderful job. Marco was very helpful with recommendations. He was funny and receptive to all our requests . Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Marco. Nous avons eu un souci de chauffage en arrivant. Marco a été très réactif le soir même jusqu'à nous apporter des chauffages d'appoint et le lendemain tout était réparé. Le logement est spacieux et très agréable après des heures de balade dans la ville. Le quartier est calme et facile d'accès aux différents lieux touristiques. Nous confirmons que les escaliers sont nombreux mais ne regrettons pas de les avoir montés. Le petit panier d'accueil nous a ravi.

The flat is perfectly located for all that central Edinburgh has to offer. Easy to get to from the airport, the tram stop is only 5 min walk away. The flat is beautiful, large, quiet and safe. It met all our needs for 4 of us on a girls weekend away. Comfortable beds, 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and spacious sitting room. Marco promptly answered any questions we had. I would definitely return and recommend to my friends and family.

12/10 will recommend. Marco is an excellent host - very gracious, friendly and very responsive. His flat is resort standard - well appointed, extremely homey yet, luxurious. Love the heated floors in the bathrooms. The bedrooms are huge and beautiful. Internet is not the best - streaming lags a lot in the evenings. TV has a Netflix app that makes for quiet, lazy movie nights. While the unit gives off this really luxurious feel, the furnishings are extremely comfortable and inviting. We spent a lot of time around the dining table and the living room just catching up. Word of caution - there are a lot of stairs. The door to the flat is on the 2nd flr (up 4 flights of stairs) beyond which is another flight of stairs that winds around before you reach the living spaces. The flat basically is on the 3rd floor. Then there is another flight of stairs to the 3rd bedroom. You will have to haul your luggage up those stairs. This flat may not be the best for those with mobility issues.

Unbeatable location on a quiet street in the posh West End, yet close to great restaurants and all the attractions. The apartment is very spacious, super stylish and impeccably furnished with comfy beds, plush towels and loads of good books. This airbnb worked out very well for three couples. It was especially nice that each couple could have their own bathroom. The apartment was very spacious and in a good location. We were able to walk most places. The tram was easy to catch for traveling to the airport or to Leith. Yes, there were 44 steps up to the front door of the apartment and a few more to the first living floor. To reach the third bedroom there were additional steps. We were aware of the steps as they are mentioned in the listing. Our group ranged in age from 60 -71 and we did not find the steps to be a problem. I would recommend this airbnb and would stay here again.

Everything about this flat was lovely. We had a total of 6 people from 2 different family groups. The flat was large enough with enough rooms and bathrooms to easily handle that many of us. We could hang out together or have time alone. Plus the kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need to feel right at home. The artwork is tasteful; the location couldn’t be more central. Good restaurants within one to two blocks; hop on/hop off bus stop nearby; even the bus to the airport was just close by. Marco responded very quickly with any questions and took care of any requests in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again the next time we want to splurge.

We were greeted by a box of goodies upon arrival - a very kind gesture I always appreciate. The space was immaculate and as described. There’s plenty to do/see in the area. There are a lot of stairs to climb, but if you’re making your way through Edinburgh on foot, you get used to it quickly. Clear rules/instructions were printed and posted in the space next to a guestbook (don’t forget to sign it!). Overall, this space was perfectly comfortable for the 6 of us.

We loved the apartment. It was so spacious and great that the main bedroom is upstairs especially for those travelling with little ones. I would just note that there are about 7 flights of stairs for anyone looking to book. After walking a lot each day, it was not exactly a climb we wanted to make. Other than that, we were really pleased with Madeline’s quick responses and the apartment overall.

The most wonderful place in the heart of it all! We had a really lovely stay at this flat. It was beautifully appointed and in the perfect location, quiet yet in walking distance to everything. Superb location and a spacious and comfortable apartment. It comfortably accommodates a family or, as with us, three couples. The facilities are ample for an extended stay and it's a short walk to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and some lovely bars. Indeed there's a delightful coffee shop just over the road and a fantastic pub around the corner. If the weather is wet then the apartment is ideal to relax to wait for the sun to return.

We booked as a group of 6 ladies meeting up. Easily commutable by bus from the airport. We were aware of the many steps as mentioned in many reviews and to us this was not a problem. Spacious rooms, and clean. Kitchen facilities As we were a party of six the dining room chairs were just 4 chairs accompanied with 2 little stools. Comfy clean beds. Bath was a problem with draining and Madeline fixed the next day, however a temporary fix only. Provided with one towel per guest for 3 days use. We had an uber into town each day as most attractions for us were a 20 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation to others, our only real issue was we were very cold. We could not change the settings on the radiators which were Luke warm we reported this to Madeline. She said she would change remotely but this did not happen, I messaged her again and she came and adjusted inside somehow , we were warmer after that. We had hot water throughout.

This townhome’s location is perfect for touring Edinburgh. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see and do. The photo's do not do this apartment justice! The rooms are all really spacious and beautifully decorated. More than ample storage and well equipped kitchen. As other reviews have mentioned there are a fair amount of stairs but this didn't effect our stay. Really central location with cafes and restaurants and bars nearby. Beautiful views out to Leith and the castle! Highly recommend

We spent Christmas at the apartment and had a cozy lovely couple of days here. The location was great and close to a Hop On Hop Off bus station, right around the corner from great restaurants and cafes, and the George St Christmas Market. The rooms were incredibly large and the space was great for the 5 adults staying together. We were able to cook in the kitchen easily and had a lot of space in the living room for all of us. The only down side was the amount of stairs you have to climb to get into the apartment. You go up about 4 flights of stairs to get to the front door and another flight of stairs once you are in the apartment. It was manageable but for anyone with mobility issues it would have been an issue.

Location was excellent! Easy walk to train station and Royal Mile. The restaurants nearby were very good and there were lots of options for coffee and quick breakfast in the morning. The apartment is very spacious and in an amazing location. Very close to a lot of restaurants and bars and right by the castle. Also, having 3 bathrooms for 5 people made a huge difference. My only complaint is that the bathroom on the top floor sometimes smelled like sewage, but the smell would go away fairly quickly.

First off, the location of this place is AMAZING for exploring New Town Edinburgh, and Old Town is a brief walk away! Beautiful view of the castle, as promised. The rooms are also large with plenty of space for a group of small adults. Unfortunately, we felt the pictures were misleading as there was extensive water damage stains in multiple rooms, and the lighting in the hallway leading up to the flat was damaged, making it difficult and potentially dangerous to climb them at night. Rating it 4/5 stars for the location and roomy private spaces, but likely will not stay here again.

The flat was just as described and was very comfortable and decorated nicely. It’s in the perfect location and close to great restaurants and shopping. It was dark when we arrived and the lights in the stairwell did not work which made tackling the stairs with suitcases a little more challenging. It does look like renovations are in process so hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Well there’s some renovation outside of the house which blocked the view totally. And when we checked in, the toilet on the 3rd floor was not clean, and the bathroom kind of has some odor. Other than that, it is a spacious apartment and the beddings are really comfy. The neighborhood was really nice and quiet.
